Home of affordable style.

Happy silly season treasure hunters! Hope this post finds you comatose from Christmas indulgences, be it through eating, drinking, bargain shopping or guilty of all of the above (I know I am!).

Today we take it from beach to bar with a hit of LSD...Little Striped Dress that is.

Ah, monochrome. Will it ever get old? I've been trying to make a conscious effort to add more colour to my wardrobe but as long as they make pieces like this skirt bright backdrops will just have to do!

a spot of leopard.

Trends are here for a good time not a long time, which is why the thrifty in me will hunt down the best 'on-trend' bargain I can find, like these leopard print shorts for $10.

black friday.

This wouldn't be a bargain hunting blog if I didn't give you guys a little something on one of the biggest sale days of the year: Black Friday.

While this is more of an American tradition thanks to the joys of online shopping everyone can play along at home!

With 'SALE' flashing on every site it can get a bit daunting to sift through what every store has to offer. Seeing as part of the online shopping appeal is that it ISN'T stressful I've compiled my picks from one of the best deals I've seen: Nasty Gal doing 40% off black items.

Enjoy treasure hunters!

classic hits (part 2).

Wedding guest dress ready for $49? Yes, it can be done.

treasure trove tuesday: boohoo beauties.

Boohoo know the way to a bargain hunters heart and are giving us 100 dresses for just $15 each.

get dressy.

With wedding and (in Australia) Spring Carnival racing season upon us, it couldn't have been a better time for $10 off dresses at Beginning Boutique. Now that I've let you all know about it, excuse me while I head back over to the site to score myself a treasure...or 3.

And remember, for regular bargain updates you can join the treasure hunt via Facebook and Instagram.

Go on treasure hunters, get dressy!

roses are red.

Two trends I'm loving right now: asymmetric hemlines and white. When I saw both loves in one item, in my size and ON SALE there may of been an audible gasp involved...

glen coco.

After handing in my last assignment for the year (high five!) I took some time out to stroll around the campus and unwind.

back to basics.

Friday night and I was all set to hit the town for a drink or two - or so I thought.

china blue.

The china blue print. We've all seen it at some point, be it on crockery, porcelain vases or grandmas old tea set. And now it's made a move on to fabrics as an emerging trend this summer.

My favorite season is here, so I jumped right into it!

I haven't owned white heels in years but that's all going to change very soon.

skort story.

Sometimes when the rat-race gets you down, the only solution is to race out of town. Thanks to some amazing weather in Sydney last weekend I got my skort on and did exactly that. Destination: Palm Beach.

Zara Skort (similar hereherehere and here)/ Primark Shirt/ H&M Sandals (similar here and here)/ ASOS Satchel bag/ Sportsgirl Sunglasses (similar here)/ Jewellery from markets (similar items herehere and here).

get scarfed- for free.

It’s no secret that I love a Get Me To New York silk scarf.

home sweet home.

Know what you want in life...

My Euro trip is done and dusted and I'm slowly settling back into Sydney life.

a case of mono.

Well kids, this is the last post before I head away for 3 weeks.

faye for friday.

I love a laid back outfit with statement shoes.

classic hits (part 1).

At any given time my wardrobe will contain the following staples: leather jacket, jeans, stripes and red heels. And wearing all the favorites at once is a good day indeed!

birthday suit.

The weather in Sydney has been down right miserable this past week (of course just as I write this the sun started shining!), but I wasn't going to let that stop me from being treated to a beautiful birthday dinner by the boy- or taking outfit shots!

Details below!

pout about it.

I've always been weary of buying cosmetics from clothing chain stores, but I recently tried Sportsgirls Pout About It lipstick range and it has me hooked! Awesome pigmentation and the $10 price tag just seals the deal. My three newest shades below!

It's Friday night and I had grand plans to get a start on a uni assignment. Fast forward 4 hours and I'm still editing photos and planning for my Europe trip with a glass of red in hand...poor old essay didn't stand a chance!

There is something so soothing about being by the seaside- show me the ocean and I am a happy girl indeed. One of my favorite spots in Sydney is Balmoral Beach in Mosman, and having my partner live just up the road from it means plenty of lazy days by the water.

lace and leather.

I am a bit of a hoarder (aren't we all?) and during a recent cleaning spree I unearthed a pair of Robert Robert lace booties I had bought over a decade ago. They haven't been worn in years but I've kept them out of sentiment. These treasures were picked up at a sample sale for just $20, paid for with my first ever paycheck from my high school job (thank you Burger King!).

flower power.

When it comes to workplace wear my rule of thumb is 'dress for the role you want, not the role you have'. As shallow as it may seem presentation goes a very long way. That being said there is still room for creativity when power dressing, and today I decided to incorporate mixed prints into the fun.

treasure trove: tassels.

Saturday night found me at Black by EZARD at The Star to celebrate a good friend's birthday. While my cocktails and meal came with a hefty price tag, I knew my outfit didn't have to.

Saturday night ready for $60?  I'll drink to that!

life's a charm.

Dainty daisy arm candy, picked up at a pop-up jewelry store. Keep your eyes peeled, treasures are everywhere.

Hold onto your...tassels. New treasure find coming soon.
